At The Dells of Delphinium, we believe beauty should bloom in harmony with the earth. Nestled in Bucks County’s rich landscapes, our farm grows seasonal flowers using regenerative practices that restore soil health, capture carbon, and protect the local biodiversity. Every bouquet we share is more than just flowers — it’s a promise of sustainability, a celebration of local abundance, and a step toward a healthier planet. By choosing our stunning blooms, you’re supporting farming that gives back to the land while bringing natural joy to your home.

Bridget's passion for plants and environmental stewardship started here in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, at a young age. Through her life's many adventures she's gained a wealth of knowledge surrounding plants, soils, sustainable agricultural practices, and floral designs, as well as a true love and appreciation for the beauty and resilience of plants. She earned her Ph.D. in Plant Biology from the University of California - Riverside and then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Plant Pathology from the Center for Conservation Biology. Following that, she served as a tenured university professor conducting original research on mycorrhizas and teaching courses in botany/plant biology, soil sciences, and mycology. Today she is an emeritus professor and the owner of The Dells of Delphinium.

Michael’s passion for plants starts with getting to play with big toys on the farm. He enjoys helping Bridget realize her passion for botany and is excited that he gets to drive a tractor in support. His background as a US Navy submarine nuclear mechanic and chemist, as well as his B.S. in Physics, have been beneficial in designing and building some of the behind-the-scenes support structures for the farm. For example, he alone engineered and built our cistern with solar powered pump for our irrigation needs. His joy of wood working has helped in various other ways around the Dells.

Delphinium, or "Delphi" for short, is named after Bridget's favorite flower. She is our beautiful rescue baby and helper on the farm ... although she takes a lot of breaks to stop and smell the flowers!

Quantum was named by Michael, the physicist, after the field of quantum mechanics, which studies the unusual behavior of matter. It's a fitting name for our sweet rescue pup. He helps on the farm through comedic relief as we witness his hilarious misadventures.

We're committed to protecting their home! Pollinator populations are declining due to habitat loss, pesticides, disease, and climate change. This threatens not only ecosystems but also our food systems.
In her first scientific research experience, Bridget examined the impacts of a common herbicide's degradation products on monarch butterfly health. Degradation products are new chemical substances that form when a parent material breaks down due to environmental factors. This eye-opening experience has led to a strong commitment to protect our precious pollinators!
